I kinda grew up on ramen noodles. At some point my mom started putting a whole head of broccoli and its stem into the water as it came to a boil, which made the dish both tastier and (more?) nutritious. A few years ago a friend turned me onto adding an egg during the final minute of boiling, adding some protein to make it a complete meal.

This time around, I sliced up some shitake mushrooms, threw in some tofu, and added a big handful of pea sprouts.
[Also, I recently broke my ‘no buying more bowls’ rule and broke down for 4 of these great triangular bowls. They’re nice and deep, perfect for a bowl of noodle soup!]
That looks delicious!
In third year I survived on eating ramen with an egg dropped into it. I ate so much that I didn’t really eat ramen for years afterwards.
It’s been back on the menu for a few years now, however.
